> Feb. 14, 2011: Golden Knights U.S. Army Parachute Invite
CNC’s President, Guarione M. Diaz, was recently invited by the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion to a tandem jump with the Golden Knights U.S. Army Parachute team.This 120 mile per hour freefall was a unique, very exciting, and personal experience for Mr. Diaz. It was also a great opportunity to appreciate firsthand the skills and values of the U.S. Army.
> Feb. 09, 2011: CNC’s President, Guarione M. Diaz, invited to Join Comcast and NBCUniversal Joint Diversity Council
CNC’s President & CEO, Mr. Guarione M. Diaz, has been invited to become a member of the new Comcast and NBCUniversal Joint Diversity Council (“Joint Council”).
The Comcast/GE joint venture has been the forum of national attention for several months. Last January the joint venture received regulatory clearance from the FCC and the U.S. Department of Justice. The Joint Council resulted from a series of MOU’s among Comcast, NBC Universal, and various national diversity leadership organizations.
The Joint Council will provide advise to the senior executive teams at Comcast and NBC Universal regarding the company’s development and implementation of a master strategic plan to enhance their diversity practice in the five focus areas addressed by the MOU’s: 1) Corporate Governance; 2) Employment/Workforce Recruitment; 3) Procurement; 4) Programming and 5) Philanthropy & Community Investment.
